This day is all about the power we hold as parents, educators and caregivers in the light up of the relationships we have with the kids and families we love, work with, teach, and care for. We will talk about the science behind attachment, why it matters all ways, and how best to develop these relationships with the kids, their caregivers, and our colleagues. Most importantly, we will talk about how we practice this understanding that “you first” isn’t always possible, but that “you too” is critical to survive in the holy work of educating kids. If you are a mama or a dad, or someone who just wants to step into this school year better than you’ve ever been than this is a perfect day for you.
Who Should Attend?
Bright, engaged, mamas, dads, grandparents, new teaching staff, educational assistants, Psychologists, Social Workers, Counselors, Nurses, PTs, OTs, SLPs who are new to Jody’s talks.
What do ya get?
Expect a day where we look after you. Stepping into this work is holy, and you deserve a day to be reminded of that. Snacks and lunch are provided. And a really (friggen) hilarious day with a really (friggen) great presenter.
