“I know what I bring to the table…. so trust me when I say I’m not afraid to eat alone”.
These words define a day of empowerment for women. The strong ones. The ones you know, the ones you raise, the one you want to become. Today is a day where we do all of our regular (re)connection magic – with a focus just on women. Empowerment, insight, surrounded by strong women entrepreneurs to inspire and remind you of this: well-behaved women never made history.
At every (Re)Connection Event, our message is loud (and proud): You need to know you friggin matter. More than anyone on the planet. If you’re not okay, then the people you love, lead, and teach don’t stand a chance. Join us for a day that’s all about you. A day where we will remind you that you’re wired to do hard things and that you’re able to do those hard things so much easier when you remember this: you’re wired for connection.
This day is designed to inspire, renew your soul, and kick you in the ass, all rolled up with a lot of laughter and maybe a few tears. We will talk about the science behind relationships and what it looks like in the connections (and disconnections) that we have with our babies, our teens, our partners, our moms, and our colleagues. Connection is a universal language and disconnection is the biggest problem we face today. We will review the “Five Keys to (Re)Connecting” to the ones you love, and most importantly, we will talk about how we practice this understanding that “you first” isn’t always possible, but that “you too” is critical to the relationships that mean the most to you.
Who should attend?
Bring your mama. Bring your sister. Bring all of you best girls. We promise you our team has NEVER been this excited about an event. We would LOVE to love on you and your people.
What do you get?
Expect a day where we look after you. You deserve it! Snacks and lunch are provided along with some kick-ass swag, and an inspirational day with a really awesome speaker, author, and game changer.
PLUS we are very excited to have Nicole Rice founder of Sweet Jolie join Dr Jody on stage as well and have her amazing products in house for a pop up shop!
Sweet Jolie is a community conscious women’s clothing boutique located in the heart of downtown Edmonton. Nicole started the business over 8 years ago from her home with a desire to empower women during all stages of life. By using curated clothing and accessories as a catapult, she’s been able to use her platform to raise thousands of dollars for different non-profit organizations that affect women and children. As an advocate for people living with Alopecia, Nicole has shared her personal experience with this auto-immune disorder that her daughter is living with to be able to grow a community of women who can see themselves in each other and who can then support each other through this disorder. As a team, Sweet Jolie truly believe that when we feel good in our skin and in what we’re wearing, that we can go about our day-to-day with more confidence and a stronger sense of self.
